The USS Guardian is a Guardian class carrier,  1st of her class, and the most powerful ship in Gamma Fleet.  She was launched from Utopia Planitita Shipyards in 2389.  The Guardian serves as a testbed for new technologies, including the Emergency Medical Hologram Mark III. The Guardian is the first vessel to employ Type IV ablative armor generators.

The most powerful ship to date, the Guardian Class carrier is the largest warp cabable ship in Starfleet history.  Her main docking bay can hold up to five Defiant class starships.  She is unmatched except when it comes to a borg cube.  Although, due to its extreme size and firepower, Only a few will ever be made. One ship is being built every two years in orbit of Mars at the massive Utopia Yards complex.
